Young People Wanted To Volunteer With Youth Healthwatch
Healthwatch Sandwell are the independent voice of the public in health and social care services. They collect feedback from the residents of Sandwell about their experiences of using health and social care services and use that feedback to work with service providers and commissioners to look at ways to improve services.
They have a team of volunteers but would like to involve grow their Youth Healthwatch and are looking for more volunteers to join the existing team.
Some of the things that Youth Healthwatch have achieved:
- Designed a Youth Healthwatch logo
- Produced a Youth Healthwatch promotional video
- Represented Healthwatch Sandwell at various forums to share their views and experiences e.g.: Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services Council and Sandwell and West Birmingham NHS Trust Young People’s Forum (Youth Space)
They are looking for young people aged 14 – 24 years to help them identify their experiences of health and social care to see what’s good and what needs improving so that they can inform service providers. They also need young people to support them in their work, community outreach, social media, administration and projects.
This is an opportunity to develop skills and to influence health and social care services for young people in Sandwell…if you are interested can you contact:
