Have you been inspired by the Paris Olympics? Check out SCVO’s V2030 Sports Activities Grant programme.
Friday, 26th July 2024 saw the start of 19 days of competition in the Paris Olympics, taking in 32 different sports.
And it was only two years ago that Birmingham played host to the Commonwealth Games.
If you’re a local community group or sports club that is thinking how you might capture the ‘buzz’ that such events create, then why not consider applying to the Vision 2030 Sports Activities Grant programme?
Funding is available for projects that will achieve one or more of the following:
- Create new opportunities for Sandwell residents to take part in sport in a community setting
- Support people to transition from ‘healthy lifestyle’ activities into regular sporting activities
- Increase the number of volunteers involved in helping to deliver sports activities
- Create opportunities for volunteers to become qualified coaches.
Funding is available from £500 to £5,000 (and larger awards may be available for collaborative projects that clearly support people to transition from ‘healthy lifestyle’ activities into regular sporting activities).
Whilst this is a ‘rolling fund’ (until funds are fully exhausted), there are various ‘Assessment cut-off dates’ throughout the year – and the next one is Monday, 9th September at 9am.
Eligibility for funding is limited to voluntary, community and not-for-profit/charitable organisations that fit within the definition of the Voluntary and Community Sector (VCS) as detailed in the Guidance Notes
Please download your copy of the Notes and then contact SCVO to discuss your ideas.
