World Breastfeeding Week is held in the first week of August every year. The campaign is supported by key partners WHO and UNICEF. This year’s theme, ‘Closing the gap: Breastfeeding support for all’, celebrates breastfeeding mums from all diverse backgrounds whilst recognising the need for multi-level support; from families to wider community support and health care workers.
The Breastfeeding Network host events across the UK and this year, the Sandwell team are celebrating by getting outside in our beautiful local parks as well as getting hands on with arts and crafts.
