Do you know anyone who could offer a spare room to a homeless teenager?

Sandwell has a sudden surge of young people looking for shelter, with the YMCA urgently seeking hosts.

Many of the young people, aged between 16 and 24, are in college or training and simply find themselves homeless through circumstances beyond their control.

YMCA Open Door offers young people a safe home with an approved host family. All you need is a spare room, an awareness of the needs of young people and a little patience and understanding.

Hosts from diverse backgrounds are particularly needed.

In return you will get full support from the YMCA, more than £100 per week to provide meals – and the comfort of knowing you are changing lives.

To find out more call 0121 524 1950 or email opendoor@ymcabc.org.uk
