Last summer, Outside The Box CIC had the pleasure of launching an inspiring initiative in Sandwell, made possible through the collaboration of the SCVO and the Vision 2030 program.

Their event, “Her Creative-Tea,” brought together females from our local community in a welcoming space where they could engage in various creative activities while connecting with each other. This unique blend of creativity and conversation allowed participants to express themselves in countless ways, celebrating their individuality and the shared experiences that bind us.

Building on the success of “Her Creative-Tea,” Outside the Box CIC recognised the ongoing need for support among females in our area, particularly to combat feelings of isolation and enhance overall wellbeing. Fueled by this passion, we applied for funding to launch a new project specifically designed to meet these needs, and we are thrilled to announce that they have received approval!

Outside the Box CIC’s upcoming project will take participants on an adventurous journey into the world of creative journaling. They believe this innovative approach will provide various techniques for self-expression, allowing women to explore their thoughts and emotions in a safe and supportive environment. By harnessing the power of journaling, they aim to equip participants with valuable tools for reflection, creativity, and personal growth.

They will be meeting at Thimblemill Library, which is an inviting space that fosters a sense of community. To ensure that they reach as many women as possible, they will also be adding another location, making it even easier for everyone to join in this enriching experience.

Through the power of creative journaling, we hope to help participants combat isolation and embark on a transformative journey of self-discovery and empowerment.

Stay tuned for more updates as this exciting initiative develops, and let’s continue to celebrate the creativity and resilience of women in our community!
