VCS Briefing – A line of sight for Elected Home Educated Children
Elective Home Education numbers and poor school attendance numbers have risen exponentially over recent years both nationally and locally. SCVO, on behalf of the VCS Children and Young People Forum Steering Group invite you to this briefing session led by the Elective Home Educated Service Manager and the School Attendance Service Manager and Sandwell Council. The session will explain what Elective Home Education is, what the Local Authority are doing, what educational neglect is and a discussion around finding the right level of support to include support from voluntary and community sector organisations.
If you are working in the Voluntary and Community Sector with children, young people and families you are encourage to attend this session to find out more and join in the conversation.
The session is being held on Tuesday 8th July from 2.00pm – 3.00pm through Teams. To book a place please view – https://buytickets.at/scvo/1731245
