Are you an adult looking for employment, work experience, vocational training or volunteering opportunities. If so, then Step Up Sandwell can point you in the right direction. Sandwell African Caribbean Mental Health Foundation’s programme is designed to provide personalised, culturally sensitive employment support for individuals seeking employment opportunities across Sandwell.

Every individual on the programme will have a personalised career plan focusing on:

    • exploring personal goals, confidence building and motivation,
    • overcoming internal barriers such as low self-esteem, improving your social skills and preparing you for the world of work, education, volunteering or vocational training.
    • interview techniques, CV writing and assisting with job searches,
    • practical cultural cooking sessions with the outcome of getting a Level 2 food hygiene qualification,
    • opportunities to take part in a variety of engaging workshops such as performance psychology, public speaking and economics to upskill your skillset.
