Coping with the loss of a loved one can be incredibly challenging, but support is available for residents across Sandwell. Whether you’re dealing with recent bereavement, ongoing grief, or struggling to make sense of your feelings, local and national services offer free, confidential support to help you through.

You can talk to someone 24/7 via Samaritans (116 123) or the Black Country Mental Health Helpline (0800 008 6516). Daytime support includes Cruse Bereavement Support, Grief Encounter, Marie Curie, and Talking Therapies Plus, which also offers services in multiple languages.

Locally, Kaleidoscope Plus hosts monthly support groups in West Bromwich, and Murray Hall Community Trust runs a drop-in bereavement group on the third Friday of each month in Tipton. Families and children can access specialist support through Winston’s Wish and Sue Ryder’s Grief Guide.

If you need help understanding or managing your grief, contact Healthy Sandwell at 0800 011 4656 / 0121 569 5100 or visit www.healthysandwell.co.uk.
