Access to Mental Health and Wellbeing services in Sandwell during Covid-19 pandemic

Healthwatch Sandwell is the independent voice of the public in health and social care services. They collect feedback from the people about their experiences of using health and social care services and use that feedback to work with service providers and commissioners to find ways to improve services.

One of the ways that Healthwatch collect feedback is by carrying out focused projects as part of their annual work plan.

In launching the latest project, Access to Mental Health and Wellbeing services in Sandwell during Covid-19 pandemic, Healthwatch want to find out:

 How people’s mental health has been affected during Covid-19.

 What coping mechanisms they have utilised.

 People’s experiences of accessing mental health and well-being services in Sandwell.

The project will be aimed at those who already had mental health issues prior to Covid-19, as well as those whose mental health has been affected by the pandemic.

Healthwatch will be speaking to people on the telephone, holding virtual meetings and have an online survey  which can also be posted to people.
