Better Understanding of Dementia for Sandwell (BUDS) is an independent Charity which provide services for people diagnosed with dementia, their carers and families within the Borough of Sandwell.
The main focus of this role will be to ensure people living with Dementia have the opportunity to socialise, receive support and take part in a variety of stimulating activities. The hourly rate is £10.83 per hour.
You must have compassion and demonstrate a commitment to the services delivered by BUDS and people living with Dementia.
In addition to other duties, you will:
• Be required to coordinate a programme of stimulating activities tailored to individual needs and preferences.
• You must have a minimum of one year’s work experience in the health and social care sector for older people.
• Be willing to work towards QCF (NVQ) Health and Social Care relevant qualifications and other training opportunities.
• Work at various venues within Sandwell Borough and Dudley Borough. Usual working hours are 12 per week with extra hours available to provide cover for other Staff leave.
