Celebrating World Diabetes Day 2021: Living with Diabetes Q&A Webinar – save the date

To mark this year’s World Diabetes Day, Black Country and West Birmingham CCG is working with partner organisations, including Diabetes UK and the NHS Hospital Trusts across the Black Country and West Birmingham, to host an online event that will bring people together virtually. Twenty twenty one is a special year, as it observes a 100 year celebration since the discovery of insulin.

You are invited to join this celebratory Q & A webinar which is open to all. The programme is still being finalised, with details to follow, but expected to include:

• Celebrating the history of diabetic treatments and 100 years of insulin with Dr Alex Wright, Honorary Consultant, University Hospitals Birmingham NHS Foundation Trust
• A Nabarro medal winner’s experience of diabetes self-management
• Information about living with and managing diabetes with various speakers
• Ask the experts – Q & A panel made up of local diabetes Health Care Professionals and Diabetes UK
