HOME: Heart of Sandwell (Routes to Roots) researches and captures the untold stories of multi-cultural communities that have settled in creating ‘homes’ for themselves within the area of Sandwell. The project gives a voice to underrepresented cultures by capturing their stories in audio and film in order to produce a heritage montage that will be an official historical document for Sandwell Archives.
We have a finale celebration that will be a one-day symposium event which will showcase all of HOME’s success in the heart of Sandwell at the Town Hall, West Bromwich. The symposium will take attendees on a cultural journey via a range of mediums that explore local people from all over the world while broadening perspectives, breaking down barriers, sharing cultures and celebrating diversity!
