Digby Fairweather Quartet

The Festival Patron needs no introduction!
As a musician he has featured in top bands for many years, picking up many British Jazz Awards for his Half Dozen which also served as accompanists for George Melly and Paul Jones. In 2015 he was recorded for Big Bear Records leading the band for Val Wiseman’s Lady Sings the Blues concert.

In addition to playing Digby is renowned as a jazz writer, broadcaster and archivist. Founder of the National Jazz Archive, he has recently been the moving spirit  behind Jazz Centre UK in Southend. No wonder he received the British Jazz Award for Services to British Jazz two years ago.
