Introduction to Youth Mentoring

Volunteers working with young people are invited to join SCVO’s training event ‘Introduction to Youth Mentoring.’
The free, online course runs over two morning sessions on July 20/21 and covers the basics of professional mentoring. Any volunteers aged 16+ who are linked to a youth organisation can sign up to help get a better understanding of how to support and signpost young people.
Delivered by West Midlands Mentoring, we will cover key tenets of professional mentoring practice:
- planning and preparation for change
- conflict management and resolution
- personal solutions (thoughts and beliefs)
- safeguarding
- ethical capture of information, the importance of accuracy, confidentiality etc.
All attendees will receive a personal completion certificate. Early booking essential as places are limited, but if the Eventbrite bookings are full please join the waiting list to be considered for additional dates.
