Medaille Trust: Modern Slavery Awareness Raising Session and Volunteering Opportunities

Medaille Trust are running a modern slavery and trafficking awareness raising session – sharing information on modern slavery, the different types of modern slavery and the signs to look out for. The organisation will also discuss their current volunteering opportunities.  This will be an online session.

The work of Medaille Trust includes advocacy and awareness raising in the UK as well as an entrepreneurship academy in Albania, which provides meaningful alternatives to those who may otherwise be at risk of exploitation. All work embodies a commitment to personalised support, recognising the dignity and agency of service users and empowering them on a path to a life that is free from slavery and exploitation.

Medaille Trust are always on the lookout for ways to support their service users.  Whether it is craft activities and group sessions,  playing games, writing poetry, making jewellery or painting pictures. The Trust also have space to garden in some of its projects and offer the opportunity for volunteers to work alongside service users in growing and maintaining fruit, veg and plants. The organisation want to offer cookery and nutrition sessions for service users in some of the projects. There are also opportunities to help with fundraising and admin.

So as you can see, a wide variety of roles are available, including the national remote Translating opportunities, especially for speakers of Mandarin, Bengali, Arabic, Amharic, French, Albanian, Vietnamese, Romanian, Polish, Tigrinya, Punjabi, Urdu and Hindi.
