Walsall Voluntary Sector Funding & Support Fair is back for 2018!

One Walsall are delighted to announce the annual Voluntary Sector Funding & Support Fair will return on 18 April, 12pm – 5pm at Manor Farm Community Association, King George Crescent, Walsall, WS4 1EU.

The event is free to voluntary and community organisations working in Walsall.

Our theme for this year is Partnership & Collaboration with speakers and workshops exploring how voluntary and community organisations can work together to develop their offer, secure funding and deliver outcomes for our communities.

There’ll be an opportunity to network over a buffet lunch, speak to funders and support providers at the Support Marketplace, and hear about the latest funding opportunities and policy developments at a number of workshops.

CEO of Walsall Commissioning Group Prof. Simon Brake, and Walsall Council’s Executive Director of Adult Social Care, Paula Furnival will also be providing a keynote speech which will explore the benefits of collaboration within the health and care sector and the opportunities taking shape through the Walsall Together Programme.

Workshops sessions will include:
Big Lottery Fund – find out about the big changes taking place at Big Lottery, the new funding programmes on offer and Big Lottery’s take on Partnership Projects.

Arts Council England – a focussed workshop on community arts projects and what makes a strong application.

BBC Children in Need – everything you need to get some inspiration and ideas for projects that support young people and how to apply.

Heritage Lottery Fund – from archaeology under our feet to historic parks, precious memories to rare wildlife – HLF helps people explore, enjoy and protect the heritage they care about.

Heart of England Community Foundation – details of this year’s programmes and tips on applying to one of Walsall’s key local funders.

Enovert Community Trust – find out about Enover’s (formerly the Corey Environmental Trust) funding capital and environmentral projects.

Higgs & Sons Solicitors – Charity specialist solicitors providing a sector specific workshop on the legal aspects of partnership working and effective collaboration.

Unity Trust Bank – providing information about how voluntary organisations can protect themselves from fraud and other financial risks.

Gift Aid – advice for Charities from One Walsall on making the most of this tax relief scheme
