Father Hudson’s Care (FHC) is the social care agency of the Catholic Archdiocese of Birmingham. They require an enthusiastic Deputy Community Projects Manager to assist the Head of Community Projects to lead, manage and support the Community Projects Department. The post holder will be based in Coleshill, Warwickshire.
The Community Projects are local partnerships and collaborations, diverse in provision and size, are delivered by staff and volunteer teams and provide a breadth of services including social support, information and guidance, practical help and accommodation. Father Hudson’s Care reach out to those who need support – asylum seekers, refugees and migrants, older people, people who are homeless, people with disabilities, people suffering poverty, deprivation and those who are marginalised. Projects include Tabor House in Birmingham, Young at Heart in North Staffordshire and Brushstrokes in Sandwell.
Successful candidates will have experience of delivering and managing services in community settings and of line managing staff, including managers and senior staff. An excellent communicator and team player, you will be able to work independently on your own initiative and be responsive and flexible to the constantly changing environment of delivering charitable services in the community.
The post holder will need to have experience and skills in partnership/collaborative working, fundraising, managing budgets and report writing.
With an understanding of the issues faced by the diverse client groups, the successful candidate will be committed to working with the disadvantaged across the Archdiocese of Birmingham, therefore an Enhanced Disclosure from the Disclosure & Barring service is essential for the successful applicant.
