Volunteers working with young people are invited to join SCVO’s training event ‘Introduction to Youth Mentoring.’

The free, online course runs over two morning sessions on July 20/21 and covers the basics of professional mentoring. Any volunteers aged 16+ who are linked to a youth organisation can sign up to help get a better understanding of how to support and signpost young people.

Delivered by West Midlands Mentoring, we will cover key tenets of professional mentoring practice:

• planning and preparation for change
• conflict management and resolution
• personal solutions (thoughts and beliefs)
• safeguarding
• ethical capture of information, the importance of accuracy, confidentiality etc

All attendees will receive a personal completion certificate. Early booking essential as places are limited, but if the Eventbrite bookings are full please join the waiting list to be considered for additional dates.
