Coronavirus Support and Information

Information for VCS Groups

SCVO offers support and guidance in lots of different ways for the voluntary and community sector in Sandwell: both for those responding to the challenges in the community posed by the current coronavirus and for those delivering other vital services and activities.

If you are looking to set up a new support group to help residents around coronavirus SCVO can assist you with guidance on how to set up and promote your group as well as recruit volunteers.  Email

If you are an existing charity or community organisation needing support at this time:

  • SCVO is here to help where we can: whether it’s to talk through the changes to services that you need to make, provide information or guidance around business continuity, or help look at critical challenges such as funding shortfalls.  Email
  • If you have current needs around volunteers and volunteering we can offer you support, guidance and publicity for this.  Email
  • If you would like to engage others, share information and discuss current issues through webinars and online conferences, then join our Forums membership.  Email Leona Bird
  • Have you got something to offer?  Might you benefit from something another group or organisation are offering?  Whether it’s publicity, staff, premises, resources or finance – SCVO can match up and help make partnerships work for you.  Email
  • Stay in the loop with regular information bulletins and updates by signing up for SCVO’s mailings via the ‘Subscribe’ button on SCVO homepage
