Jigsaw Events: Admin Assistant

Jigsaw Events, a registered charity, is looking to recruit an admin assistant with excellent administration, organisation, and communication skills to join the team. Jigsaw provides social and leisure opportunities for people with a learning disability in Sandwell.

Applicants should have relevant experience, a working knowledge of MS Office, be a strong team player and able to communicate verbally and in writing with people with a learning disability.  The post is for eight hours per week, which may increase to meet the needs of the charity.  The pay is £12 per hour.

You’ll be responsible for providing general and administrative duties, and occasionally answering the phones and greeting members to the office. You’ll be assisting with organising meetings, recording bookings and payments for trips and updating a database. In addition, you’ll be undertaking routine financial processes and help with other duties as directed.

Key Requirements:

  • You will need to have good and accurate literacy, numeracy, and administrative skills.
  • You will also need good keyboard skills.
  • It is important you have good communication skills and can work on your own initiative.
  • Good planning and organising skills are key for this role and you should be used to working under pressure to meet deadlines allowing flexibility and resilience.
