Site Permissions Overview

The site administrators have the ability to control all access and publishing rights to your website membership.

  • What is a Contributor? – Somebody who can write and manage their posts but not publish posts, and can receive Email newsletters.
  • What is a Subscriber? – Somebody who can read comments, make comment and receive Email newsletters.

Other privileges may be offered to members which include:

  • Administrator – Somebody who has access to all the administration and management features of this website. (usually volunteer team) *
  • Editor – Somebody who can publish posts, manage posts as well as manage other people’s posts, etc.
  • Author – Somebody who can publish and manage their own posts.

General website functions

You can also manage the general website settings from your dashboard. Go to the ‘Settings’ panel where you can manage all of the following core features:
