Black Country Healthcare invites you to join them at an event on the Tuesday, 12th October, 10 – 12.00 noon, to understand the ‘Mental health needs within the Deaf Community’. According to SignHealth, up to 50% of the Deaf community in Britain experience mental health problems, with rates of anxiety, depression, and low self-esteem almost double that of hearing people.
It is paramount that we are aware of the challenges experienced through the pandemic and to support them as with their mental health journey.
The event will be been jointly delivered by Zebra Access, SignHealth and the Black Country Healthcare. The partners will be exploring the challenges experienced through the pandemic for the Deaf Community. Paul Ntulila will share his personal journey on being ‘Deaf and Black’.
