This exciting new role will enable SCVO to further develop its chargeable community fundraising service, making it available to more local organisations and extending the range of fundraising support currently provided. As a member of SCVO’s Development Support Team, the Fundraiser will work closely with local organisations, developing proposals and making applications for funding primarily, but not exclusively, to charitable trusts and other grant-making bodies. This role will complement the existing fundraising, management development and governance support offered to the 1,000 charities, community groups and not-for-profit organisations in Sandwell, and will support SCVO’s aims to build the capacity and sustainability of our local Voluntary and Community Sector.
SCVO is looking for a target-driven individual with a strong track record of achievement in securing revenue and capital funds from a range of different sources. The successful candidate will also demonstrate strong communication and interpersonal skills along with an awareness of the key issues facing charitable and not-for-profit organisations.
