BOUNCE (Building Ownership, Unlocking Networks, Creating Empowerment): working in partnership with existing ‘community anchor/hub’ organisations to use a strengths/asset-based approach to support local communities to design, deliver and own activities for positive change.
The first four organisations to be part of this programme strand are:
Brasshouse (North Smethwick Development Trust) – activities will include community engagement, a newsletter/community communication, talent builder, health and wellbeing, and social action projects.

Smethwick CAN – listening and engaging with the community through the support provided in the café and allotment and support new ideas. New groups established include an arts group and a sewing group, informal language support for people who’ve newly arrived.

Bangladeshi Women’s Association – Supporting young people to come up with their own ideas and create social action projects. Three key areas are a) Environmental awareness b) Being physically active – through boxing clubs c) learning about the community sector

Bearwood Community Hub CIC – design and deliver community engagement and conversation and implement new activities.
* * * * * * *
Over the lifetime of the programme, we will support additional organisations, ensuring there is a good spread across Sandwell.
