Training

SCVO provides training opportunities for Sandwell voluntary and community organisations, covering a wide range of topics including planning and development, management, governance, sustainability and effectiveness.  Details of these training courses are advertised in our regular e-bulletin.

There is also other training provision available through local charities and not-for-profit bodies, some of which are listed below.  Please contact the organisation directly to enquire about further details of the training they provide:-

Changing Our Lives

  • Basic autism awareness training.

Training co-delivered with autistic people that provides a basic awareness of autism, tailored to the organisation/group with an emphasis on person centred support and reasonable adjustments that make communities/organisations more welcoming to autistic people.

In addition to that which is provided by local not-for-profits, Sandwell Council also offers training for staff and volunteers of Sandwell-based voluntary and community organisations, which includes guidance in safeguarding children and adults, Modern Slavery and Employment training.  Further details can be found here.
