Voluntary organisations and community groups supporting children, young people and families in Sandwell are being invited to get involved in discussions on how to improve local help through partnership working.
A broad range of different organisations within the Voluntary and Community Sector (VCS) and many statutory agencies currently deliver support to help children and families within our borough to address issues and needs as early as possible when they arise, with the aim of helping families to thrive and individuals to lead fulfilled and happy lives. Sandwell Safeguarding Children’s Board has now asked SCVO and voluntary sector organisations to lead a process to refresh Sandwell’s strategy for delivering this early support, working with a range of other partners to consider how we can better work together to deliver this help.
VCS organisations who would like to get involved in this work by participating in a Partnership Development Group which will meet during autumn 2016 should get in touch with Mark Davis at SCVO, email@example.com 0121 525 1127 to express an interest. Places on this Group are limited.
Local VCS organisations providing support to children and families can also get involved by completing our Early Help consultation survey which can be found here.
